The Real Legend 3 The Real Legend 3

Rated 3.5 / 5 stars

Good, but could have been better

Excellent animation and graphics. However I was disappointed with the content itself.

First of all, the humor. It didn't stand up pretty much to the previous 2 episodes. There were almost no unexpected randomities and much less parodies of actual in-game illogical situations than the original 2 first episodes you made. The "fart-pooh" style of humor depicted during Volvagia's part is what probably disappointed me the most. It was simply out of place.
The kakariko house scene as well as the random postman appearances were brilliant though!

Second, the story progression. It seemed rushed as if you ran out of ideas. We were out of a certain place as soon as we entered it and the different places could have been elaborated a bit more (kakariko village, goron city and the path to death montain for example, there is just too much to tell about them!).

Third, the presentation. Previous episodes offered a professionnal-like feel with the loading and "play" screens, along with the productor logos showing up. There was none of that in this third animation. Also, be careful if you want to improve graphic quality of your work. It could be a great idea, but make sure you find the right balance between artwork quality and length. As much as a short but pretty animation can be better than the overall of a long but rough one, the contrary can also be true.

And finally, the sound. Our ears are used to hear a certain sound quality coming from these episodes... but somehow, for some unknown reason, out of nowhere near the middle-end of this animation, sounds go from the usual lower-than-average-quality to uberly clean and crisps... best example is Navi's voice. It confused me at first since I was trying to figure out who was that new character I was hearing... before realising that it was Navi. It makes the voice too different and it really isn't a great idea to switch sound quality/style like that in-movie. One needs to stick with a certain pattern to make it coherent.

Anyhow, I give you a 7 because of impressive animating skills, but not more.

Lol That first sound to start in the beginning reminds me of totakeke's voice when he's singing (from Animal Crossing)

Strong song

This song has power, however I think you insisted a bit too much on drum beats. There are too much of them, maybe you should call it "Free-For-All"? XD

AnSpal1202 responds:

maybe it could be called Free for all, but Im gunna see wat everybody else says first, Im glad u like the song, I'll check out ur songs later =]
